WHERE TO STAY IN LISBON
Lisbon has many great options to choose from when it comes to picking the neighbourhood of your accommodation. Some great areas are:
- Baixa
- Bairro Alto
- Chiado
- Avenida da Liberdade
- Alfama
I stayed at Alfama and would highly recommend this area if you want to be close to the different viewpoints, called the “Miradouros”.

BEST TIME TO VISIT LISBON
Lisbon can be visited all year around. Do keep in mind that it can be very hot during the Summer months (July & August). Even though the Cascais beaches are relatively close to Lisbon, I would suggest visiting during the Spring or Autumn months. I visited at the start of November and the weather was so lovely: 22 degrees & sunny.

HOW TO GET AROUND IN LISBON
The city of Lisbon is great to explore by foot. Another iconic way to get around is by the yellow tram (tram 28). It’s an experience by itself but keep in mind that these trams are pretty small and crowded during the day.
I recommend taking a ride early in the morning to enjoy the experience at its fullest.

HOW MANY DAYS
You can explore the main highlights of Lisbon in one day. However, 3-4 full days would be my suggestion to fully explore the city and make a day trip to Sintra, which ended up being my favourite part of the trip!
